OUR LEADERSHIP

Danny J. Kwiatkowski

Founder, Director & Inventor — LAPIS® Services Inc.

Danny J. Kwiatkowski brings more than four decades of hands-on experience in the sheet metal fabrication industry, with a career deeply rooted in AMADA® machine tools and long-term equipment performance.

He began his career with AMADA® in 1979, during the early formation of AMADA® AMERICA, and was among the first 20 employees of the organization. As the first AMADA engineer covering the Midwest, Danny played a critical role in establishing technical support, customer trust, and service standards for AMADA machines across the region.

Over the next 20 years, he held key roles across engineering, applications, training, sales, and management, including Product Specialist, instructor at the AMADA Programming School in Chicago, Assistant Product Manager for the Shearing Division (U.S.), and Regional Manager for Wisconsin. This experience provided a rare, full-lifecycle understanding of AMADA equipment — from programming and applications to serviceability, reliability, and long-term support.

In 1995, Danny co-founded LAPIS® Services Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. LAPIS® was built to support manufacturers seeking to extend the productive life of AMADA machines through expert retrofits, rebuilds, and remanufacturing. By the late 1990s, LAPIS® had expanded service and sales operations into Mexico, Canada, and China, supporting AMADA customers internationally.

Today, Danny leads the engineering and strategic direction of LAPIS®, specializing in FANUC-based control integrations engineered specifically for AMADA CNC turret punch presses and press brakes. LAPIS® designs and manufactures proprietary electronic boards and drive interfaces in-house, allowing continued support for legacy systems no longer supported by OEM supply chains.

Under his leadership, LAPIS® helps manufacturers modernize responsibly — protecting capital investment while delivering reliable, long-term machine performance.
